Turning thermostat control knob to 'OFF'
In gas mode.....closes main gas valve and burner runs in 'bypass' mode (just enough to keep flame lit)
In electric mode....turns element OFF
Turning thermostat control know to 'MAX'
Gas mode or electric mode........ON continuously
Turning thermostat control knob in between OFF & MAX
Cooler cabinet temps closer to MAX
Warmer (less cool) cabinet temps closer to OFF
Fin temp of 32*F is OK..cabinet temps typically 10*F warmer
With thermostat control knob set to almost OFF does gas burner go into bypass mode and does electric element turn off when temp is reached?
Thermostat is still available (part number 2931336016)
