Dometic frig is on, GAS / AC indicator light

My dometic frig appears to be working fine, and is on Auto. When plugged in it is on AC and when unplugged it switches to gas, but the indicator light showing AC and the indicator light showing GAS is not coming on.
Not sure what the problem is other than the indicator light for AC and GAS won't light up. The other lights on the panel work fine.

  • It's working they way mine, and most other's do. Sounds normal. Don't look for a problem you don't have. You will have plenty of problems, don't create another

No, the check light is not on. But I am fairly sure that when my AES light is on, the panel indicator lights show if it is in AC mode or GAS mode. I have another Dometic frig in another camper, and it shows AC or GAS when it is in AES mode. Although my frig is cooling and apparently working in both modes, the indicator lights are not indicating which mode it is in.

As Terry said, the light only indicates auto and does not indicate AC or gas unless you force it to gas only. Then the auto light extinguishes and the gas light comes on.

When I unplug it, I hear it switch to gas, but no indicator light except AES AUTO
    Gas indicator remains off.

Yep that's right. the Auto light stays on. Indicating, it is in Auto mode. Sounds like it is working properly.
If the Auto lite goes off. There is a problem, and the fridge is not working. The only way the gas lite should come on, is when YOU turn it on. By switcing from Auto to gas manually. IE push the gas button in. But then, It won't switch back to electric when you plug it back up

  • Mine just lights up the Auto light. It stays on all the time the fridg is in the auto mode. Gas, or electric. The only time the "gas" lite comes on, is when I switch it manually to gas.
