- ktmrfsExplorer IIwell, what they say at the beginning and what it is are not what I would have expected. It's a hybrid, fridge is absorption, freezer is compressor driven.
So it's a hybrid, not a dual mode that would be what I would need for our camping. Unless one doesn't need a freezer.
Granted, the power draw for the freezer section would be less than a compressor driven fridge/freezer, but still more than a absorption system. - dave17352ExplorerI could see where this could be a good thing if it works as advertised. I wouldn't think that freezer compressor is going to run much so you would not need more than one battery. I would hope. If the fridge can actually keep temp while in 100 degree heat then they would have something. But if you need additional batteries then why not just go with a totally ac fridge with a danfoss compressor. I will be interested to see what peoples opinions are after they are in widespread use. Oh but will you still have to be level. Well then forgetaboutit!
