May not apply to this issue but I believe there was a recall on those awnings for a bad motor causing them to deploy while in motion. You might be able to verify by checking the model and serial numbers at the Dometic website. I had a 2013 Keystone Bullet (briefly) and got a recall notice for the awning. It rings a bell.
