Now this is very interesting to me. I run a mobile RV repair business and have noticed a huge increase in cooling unit failures of these models over the past few years (dumping contents of cooling core in boiler area). I have been wondering if an action like this was going to happen. I have one customer with a 1999 RM3862. He has had this exact failure in 2002, 2004, and again just 2 weeks ago. None of these failures were covered under warranty. The 1st 2 failures he went with a new cooling core (#805). This last time we replaced the entire refer with a new RM2862. After reading this thread I went out to the scrap pile, found his refer and checked the serial number. His is on the list of affected units. This gentleman has spent almost $3,500 on refer repairs since purchasing new in 99. Judging by the response they gave to Vicky, it sounds like he will not be entitled to any kind of compensation. Obviously they've known about the problem for some time, definitely before his last failure. Now they get to skate because they are delaying notification of dealers and customers. This just doesn't seem right. Not to mention the fact they are gambling with people's lives. Tim
