Yes, we just returned from a two month trip along the southeast coast and the Gulf Coast. But quite frankly we have continued to run ours as normal. As someone posted, the company states that there is less than a 1% chance of a fire.
I figure that at 72 years we are much more likely to be killed in an accident or by a heart attack or stroke than we are by our seven year old refrigerator that has not leaked in all those years of use. If it hasn't failed in that time it probably isn't going to.
However, we might now start running it strictly on the 12V element since we do not boondock so either the converter or the generator are connected 99% of the time it is in operation. But does anyone know just how long it will run on 12V without a charger before draining a single 12V deep cycle battery?
