You know, I get the feeling that everyone here is getting just a bit carried away. Measuring, trying to at least, voltages and impedances at varying temperatures, looking up the chimney, so to speak, and writing everyone but the pope.
My unit was built in 1999 and is installed in a 2000 Sunnybrook Mobile Scout. Yes, it's on the list. But it's run six yeats now and still going strong. As per the above quote, if it weren't for the Internet I wouldn't even know there was a problem.
My plan is to just wait till after the date of the remediation passes, go to my repair shop, which by the way is an authorized Dometic repair center and they know nothing about it, and have them order a kit and do the repair.
End of story. Mean time no high blood pressure or frazzled nerves.
