Dometic says to run it
only on electricity until the recall is effected. I don’t have this option as I camp many miles from electricity. I had planned on using the camper probably four to six weeks this spring, beginning whenever the snow melts off of the Forest Service roads leading to campsites along my favorite trout streams.
I will use ice chests (and probably the refrigerator as an ice chest) until the dealer gets the part(s) and can install them.
I may cut back on the fishing trips as it is a minimum of 30 miles round-trip to buy ice.
I’m hoping it will be “fixed” before fall trout fishing, starting in mid-October.
I would likely use it on gas and pull the outside cover daily to check for leaks
if I could be assured that I would see a leak before there was a danger of fire.
