The idea of the high temp aralrm would be to sound the alarm in the middle of the night while we are alseep. Just beacause the fridge is on fire doesnt mean that the internal smoke alarm would sound. I would want to get the %$@# out of the unit ASAP. As for away linking to the gas line would require some kind of solinoid, I am not going to mess with that. Yes it would be horrible coming back to a pile of ashes, but it would still be wonderful that we werent in it, The rest is insurable and replaceable.
I have in my garage a high temp sensor tied into my home alarm system. If the garage were to catch fire it would sound the alarm when the temp was reached. That was what I am considering to see how I can connect that to a warning buzzer and place the sensor somewhere up in the refer chimmney.
