Depends on what kind of insurance you're talking about. If it's an extended service contract, then it should be covered. These contracts vary greatly though when it comes to how well they pay out. Some make you pay a huge deductible and others make you jump through lots of hoops, yet others pay off with no trouble at all. Sometimes I think it's all about who you get on the phone and what kind of mood they are in that day.
Papa & Mimi, I'm a little surprised, but happy to hear you were reimbursed by Dometic. Some of my customers are trying to get reimbursement for this type failure, but so far nothing has been settled. How did you manage to get it resolved so quickly? Do you remember the name of the representative at Dometic that helped you? Any information you could provide would be much appreciated. Thanks. Tim
