The only thing I'm seeing now is the differences in registering for the "fix". As PackerBacker suggested I called the number again to check if I was still on the list "I wasn't registered" so although I talked to a young lady I'm still not sure. I asked her why they requested the VIN number if it wasn't required, she then decided it was. Then she told me they would send a letter when they found the nearest Dometic Dealer. So I asked what was wrong with "Stones RV" just down the road from me. So then it was OH! yes they are one of our preferred dealers and that I could ask them to order a kit after Apr.16. Guess I'd better drop in to see the lads just in case they might know what's going on. I don't know but maybe they have more than one call center answering the calls.
Cheers Willis
Willis,
Just got my letter today (4 pages); it simply explains what we have already been told here about the recall and it states to bring the letter to your repair center. I went to my repair guy today (he's 2 miles from my office) and he said he can order the kit after April 16th as per his Dometic parts distributor. I have an appointment for the kit (and new tires) for the 2nd week of May.
