Eric, no, i din't try it on propane to see if it get cold well after a few hours but the Belco tech did a functionnal test when he install the kit and everything was ok. I don't see any reason why it would not get cold on LP gas.
For the dimmer, I plug it on one of the 2 black wires (the positive one)that go from the electronic control bord to the element plus the ground on the frame of the refridg (where all other grounds are screw to the frame).
Willis, yes, the refridg is very close to the interior wall of the TT (no more than 1") and it is supposed to be like this so that the cooling air flow thru the condensor, not bypassing it. At least, they done that one right...
