You are forgeting this is an official safety recall which by law must be done free of charge, no matter how the refrigerator is installed. Go back to the dealer and threaton a lawsuit and see how quick you get your money back. If they act dumb on the issue then email Dometic and threaton the same and see if they don't call you back in a day or two to resolve it.
