Claude, did you have a fire in there or what? It sure doesn't look very shiny to me. Did something overheat? I can't tell from the photo but it doesn't look right and the shields seem too close to the vent opening.
I haven't fired mine up yet (I think were still having Winter here) but it would be good to know what to watch for.
