Dometic Refrigerator Model 2652 - Battery drain

I have a Dometic Refrigerator Model 2652 - with a severe Battery drain.
the two 6 volt Interstate Extreme deep cycle batteries passed the load test. When dry camping I need to charge them twice daily.
The fridge has an automatic climate control - It is not adjustable - only the slider for adjusting Hot or Cold.

Any suggestions?

  • Your fridge has 'Auto Temp Control' (No adjustment to temp setting) and a thermistor in food section on right fin that can be moved up/down for minor temp adjustment (UP/colder----Down/less colder. Roughly 6-8*F change)

But the 'Climate Control' (12V DC heater that evaporates the water droplets when they form between freezer/food section frame) can be turned ON/OFF.
Switch is on bottom of upper control panel. Open food section door and check top area for switch (Turn it OFF I/0-----0 is OFF)
  • Is the condensation heater turned on? If so then it will draw of current 100% of the time (1 amp I believe).
