Lose those individual wires. The easiest way would be to use a heavy duty (12 gauge) extension cord, cut off the ends and apply the connectors you need.
Great suggestion. I would also suggest that you use the third ground wire. This will reduce your voltage drop. Does not matter pos. or neg. But make sure they are the same. In fact if it were me, I would use 2 16 gauge cord 3 conductors for pos. and 3 for neg. this would be closer to 6 guage (allows for a longer run)
