First thing to do is make sure the commonplace roller catches they typically use are aligning properly, aren't bent and have a screw of sufficient length. Sometimes adding a 2nd roller catch will work. I just hate the cheapo roller catches.
There are a few manufacturers of the catch mentioned by bdpreece and harold1946 above. I bought a bunch of the Southco ones. They call theirs "grabber" latches. I installed a 10 lb one on our pantry door and it's almost too strong and 5 lbs would have been better. I would suggest 3 or 5 lb rated ones. Warning - there are no identifying marks on them so don't mix them up if you buy different ratings. These latches work very well but need to be more carefully aligned compared to roller catches - if they aren't aligned, they can be damaged (BTDT). Southco makes a grabber latch with a built-in microswitch and that's what I used on the pantry door for LED lighting inside it. I have seen the RV Designer, JR Products and Southco latches and the Southco ones seem to be better quality. Cheapest source is either Amazon or ebay. If you have a tall door, install the latch near the handle.
I installed a couple of Knape & Vogt (K&N) 8400RV series roller slides made specifically for RVs. These are really nice and probably the best available option for drawers. You have to give them a quick tug to release and they sort of snap back (softly) into latched position when about an inch away from being closed. I just love these drawer slides. Can be used to replace existing drawer roller slides. More expensive than using the "grabber" style latches.
I tried magnetic latches once and they did not work very well but I didn't do any research at the time and I know there are better and stronger ones available.
