I want to hear stories of people who smoked and lived to 90.
There actually are quite a few regardless of what the surgeon general would have you believe. One of the biggies was Eubie Blake, smoked unfiltered Pall Malls from childhood into his late 90's. And there are people who develop lung cancer and other deceases associated with smoking, and have never been around a smoker ever. There are no hard and fast rules, just higher and lower odds.
You could quit smoking, take up chewing toothpicks to ease the addiction, and die of Dutch Elm disease.
But, personally, I think the OP's idea is risky without considerable filtering and treating. It's one of the things that separates first world countries from the rest: reliably safe drinking water.
