Calcium chloride in pools??? My pool pills are hypochlorite/sanitizer. I thought salt pools use sodium chloride. I can't say for sure cuz I never bought any. My pool WAS salt when we bought the place but the cell was shot so I tore all that stuff out and went to chlorine pills. I avoid anything with high calcium in my pool. I used to buy big bags of calcium chloride at hardware stores when I had a dump truck. It sure kept wet dirt from freezing in the box. Craig
