I've been eyeing https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B8L8MD2 but ideally I would want a controller that I can monitor the input from.
I noticed that some controllers have solar input, battery output, and load output while others just have solar input and battery output. How important is it to have that load output vs just running through the battery?
#1: A little expensive.
#2: There was some 20A PWM $30 with display, on Amazon. Ninerbikes probably knows. I don't "think" that Renogy controller included in that kit (without display) is anything special.
#3: Not important.
Back to the inverter - I think somebody said this already, but you don't need to install it close to batteries. Since we are talking laptop only. You'll be drawing mere 100-150W. Converter DC cable is thick enough. Might as well not install it at all, and charge the laptop off a portable inverter with cig lighter cable inside the trailer. Then unplug and use it.
