We have a small Lithium Ion chain saw not the latest carbon carbon or whatever. It performs well and never ran out of a charge. The chain is scrap though.
Cost of the replacement battery is over 100.00. The whole saw didn't cost but 179.00.
I would hate to replace the battery pack in a car.
3000 cycles is a lot if you live in town and just go to the coffee shop.
In real America that isn't so long. We use our vehicles daily and long miles several times a week.
I don't know any figures but 3 recharges a week would give you something like 3 years life maybe.
Drive on weekends and commute a long way to work and it might be five or six charges a week.
