The problems that We had affected the Female Sockets on the front Air Conditioner Penguin Unit . They corroded badly so needed replacement. Use a very fine Soldering Iron to de solder from the Board then resolder a new Socket into place on the board.
The male Wire Ends were fine but We replaced those as well ! As Chris indicated they are not wired like Normal Telephone wires but rather as Data Cables. Pay attention to the arrangement of the coloured wires.
