Dust problem

Question

My fridge is in the center of the toy hauler with a vent running from the bottom of the trailer to the top. This vent draws dust bad which in turn gets every thing around the fridge dusty. I have a fridge access panel in the bathroom which always has a pile of dirt under it and the pot drawer next to the fridge is always dusty. I'm going to take out the pot drawer and see if I can figure out where the dust is leaking out of the vent and into the trailer but I can't imagine that all this dust is good for the fridge components in the vent area.This trip was so bad that there is a layer of dust 2 foot out from the pot drawer on the floor and dust even found its way into the silverware drawer so I'm sure all the cabinetry from my kitchen sink to the fridge is polluted with dust.Is there anyway to curb the dust flow up the fridge vent without affecting air flow?

My fridge is a small compressor fridge, but the Dust build up on condenser and condenser fan blades is an issue.

I mitigated it by installing an air filter on the intake vent. This white filter, designed for use behind vents in stick and brick homes, turns brown quickly.

The dust which accumulates on the fan blades now is made of much smaller particles and takes much longer to build up to the point it reduces airflow.

But I still remove the fridge every once and a while and run some bristles over condenser fins with some compressed air assist and use qtips and rubbing alcohol to remove the dust build up on the fan impeller leading edges

If you have a place to put a rag or something else that you can spray the spray that is used on K&amp;N air filters that will gather the dust for you. Make sure that it will not block your air flow. Just a thought

Would it be practical to turn off the fridge when traveling on dirt/gravel roads?  It should stay cold.

The vent is in the center of the trailer so it would be a pain to crawl under the trailer on the side of the road to plug the vent before heading out on the gravel roads.

All dust should be located only in the back of the refrigerator.  If it leaks dust into the RV it will also leak noxious fumes.
