E-Z Flex ?

I am thinking about installing these on my fifth wheel does anyone out there have these in use, and if so what do you think of them.

  • I installed them on my Wildwood, and the ride quality has improved considerably. The only issue that I have had is that the stock clearance between the tire and wheel well has been reduced by about an inch and now on heavy bumps, the tire hits the top of the well. Not enough to do any damage, but still hits.
  • EZ Flex and wet bolt kit are two of the best places to spend money on your RV. The improvement in the ride after I installed them on our triple axle toyhauler was immediately noticeable. No more double bounce over the bridge joints. Just a wonderful improvement overall.

Waste no time, just jump right in and do it!

And yes, your RV guy was a moron.
  • This is partway through the installation on mine. I did it myself - wasn't hard. Love them.
  • I agree. the RV guy has not idea what he's talking about.
All the bolts are replaced, not just one.
  • The wet bolt kit comes with bronze bushings to replace the plastic ones that wear through in a year or so. IMO, the bronze bushings and bolts will last a lifetime on most rigs with a once or twice shot of grease each year. The shackles are twice as thick and heavy as the OEM.
  • I was going to get a wet kit but the RV shop guy pointed out that is only for the one bolt and the other two still wear through like before. So I lost interest in that. I don't have the E-Z Flex to compare with the basic set on mine.
  • I have the kit. IMO the rubber damper is a bit overrated vs a solid equalizer. The rest seems far improved over OEM.
  • I have had them for over a year now with no issues. The spring hanger plates are over twice as thick as stock. They are far superior to the Chinese equalizers they replaced. They take grease and have metal bushings verses dry plastic stock bushings. I see no downside.
  • You wont regret it. The cheap equalizer plates are made of really soft steel, so the holes egg out pretty quickly. These are harder. That and a wet bolt kit really make a difference.
