The problem with ethanol that no one realizes is, we are burning up our farmland's trace mineral content for fuel. Macro and micro minerals are essential for good health. Vitamins and minerals are needed together in human cells, in complex relationships, to produce certain vital enzymes. But a study done 2 or 3 decades ago showed that the average micromineral content is reduced about 4% per year by crop production. That means less iron, manganese, chromium, etc in our foods. Farmers add back N, P, K and not much more. To further deplete our resources just to make inferior fuel seems unconscionable to me, and I have written the WH to say so.
