Electric awning - Don't like the durned thing! Rant!

Got an electric awning, thought this was a nice thing....... Used it a couple times and very quickly realized what a total pain in the backside it is. It has 2 positions - in, or out. Period. ...

I thought my electric awning on my new Bay Star motorhome would not adjust either but found out it does but I need a step ladder to make it happen. It has a small knob on each support arm. I have to pull the arm in and tighten the knob. Also remember to loosen it when retracting.
