Electric awning - Don't like the durned thing! Rant!

Got an electric awning, thought this was a nice thing....... Used it a couple times and very quickly realized what a total pain in the backside it is. It has 2 positions - in, or out. Period. ...

I have a Dometic 9100 electric awning. I can't say it's better than my old manual and it's so high I'd need a ladder to attach lights or a patio shade to it. Yes, I can lower one arm a bit to dump water, but I'm limited since I have a slide directly under the awning that would chafe against the awning fabric. But, I knew all that before we purchased the FW so I'm not complaining.
