Electric Heater lowers Voltage ??? HARMFUL ???

Hi All, we are full timing and use and electric space heater. This causes a voltage drop (according to the cheap voltage meter plugged into a bathroom outlet). The space we are in has 50amp, 30a...

The plug in 120 voltage meters are NOT accurate at all. The digital ones are accurate but the ones that have a needle and show green/yellow/red zones are NOT. The OP needs to use a multimeter and test the voltage at the outlet he is plugged into when the heater comes on. Voltage DROP from a large wattage appliance is normal. HOW much is determined by a Multimeter. Doug
