Equate the temperature rise to absolute zero. If the temperature goes down 5 degrees Kelvin, then New York likely turns into Greenland. If the temperature goes up 5 degrees Kelvin, New York (and many other places) may be under water.
I think this discussion may be Moot as the changes that need to be made are going to take tens of years, and the time frame for temperature increase is far shorter.
That doesn't mean we should not try. My "foot print" on October 15 a couple of years ago was about 709 watt-hours for a total of 17 KWH for all my needs in 24 hours. (space and water heating, cooking and running the computer). About 1 KWH came from the tiny solar system on the RV roof.
I believe we may be leaving our grand children a Dystopian future.
Canada is responsible for about 1.7% of the worlds co2. Far greater than our "fair share" by population. Our government would rather sweep this all under the proverbial rug than take the drastic action needed.
