Electrical cord wrapped in a circle cause problems?

The older parallel style cords created more issues then the new 3 or 4 wire cords. The multi wire cords have the conductors twisted inside the sheath. This reduces the amount of induction.
In a cord with heavy draw, it is best not to have them tightly coiled.
