Electrical cord wrapped in a circle cause problems?

I suppose if it were tightly coiled, or if you spooled it on an iron core you may have some problems. However, many MHs today have their power cords on a spool. I don't have a spool but I do have an 18" coil in my electrical bay. I only pull out what I need. I doubt it ccauses problems worth worrying about. I would be more concerned that tightly coiled could cause wire fatigue.

BTW, if smartness came with age I wouldn't have to use erasers on pensils anymore. I'm 77. :B
