You could do something that my Catalina had to power the microwave or the AC. It contained a manual transfer switch similar to a light switch to select which appliance I could run. I would (1) remove the wiring for the rear AC from the distribution panel and install this wire into a new box that has a DPDT switch as the transfer switch, (2) install a new wire from the distribution panel as one power source to the switch, and (3) install the cable that will plug into the pedestal as the second power source to the switch. In the end you will have normal power to the AC and the use of the EMS and as needed you can power the AC from the pedestal with out affecting the EMS. Give it some thought. JM2¢...
