I'm not disputing what seems to be a consensus that the ground lead is bad but can someone explain the cause and effect of a bad ground in this instance? We are talking about the pedestal and not the power cord right?
Could be pedestal, cord, stray wire in the breaker panel or an RV appliance or anything in between.
3-light tester will confirm reverse polarity or open ground.
Then it is a matter of divide and conquer to identify the culprit.
