50 amp has 240 in the plug but the RV doesn't use 240, it uses two legs to 120 v appliances.
My son had a electrician wire a 30 amp RV plug at a hunt camp. He wired it 240 and luckily only blew the converter. He then came back and wired it 120 and reversed the polarity. The AC ran but was acting crazy when I found reversed polarity.
