If it was me, I'd have the electrician install the 220/50amp outlet. My RV requires 120/30amp service. I'd buy and use a 50 amp to 30 amp adapter a person can purchase at WalMart or RV sales and service centers. Then, I'd be all set and ready to go if I got a new RV requiring 50 amp service. I use my adapter all the time at campgrounds that have 220/50amp service because it makes for a more secure connection.
