She needs to learn what ignition A and B means. If the alteenator was charging how to tell house batteries from vehicle battery. Then re-connect all of it correctly. Is the alternator functioning? Or is it connected to the house bank. Even for the most gifted of professionals this is a multi hour job AFTER they learn the depth of the error. A knothead can and will CONTINUE to switch wires until they are 100% buffalowed into exhaustion. Then they sell the rig after charging the batteries.
