Enclosure heaters

I've been using heating pads all these years like a fool. They even have a 12v one...

Linky.

Google finds more 12v ones elsewhere. 20 watt example.

Not cheap, but good to know!

I was thinking they could be useful for battery and plumbing compartments, Tom_M.
  • An RV'er can't ever get enough comfort from putting heat where it needs to be. Stay warm!
  • Are you heating metal enclosures with those bolt on units?

Pads work well on plastic because plastic is a very poor conductor. The warmth of the pad is spread out over a larger surface area to better couple heat into the contents.

Of course if you want a little heat on your metal hot water tank, or oil pan or trans pan, those might work?
