Leaving eco-issues aside - which apparently not something that people are interested in - fuel consumption of propane stove is not worth worrying about. It uses mere 0.1-0.2 lb a day, this is nothing, compared to propane fridge or furnace. Fridge = 1.5-2.0 lb a day, furnace = 1.5 lb an hour of burning (i.e. if cycle is 50%, then 0.75 lb an hour, the colder is outside the more often it has to cycle). Replacing LP fridge with 12V and solar, and furnace - with catalytic heater, will save 10 times more propane than alternative stove solutions.
