?? I would like to hear more about this option. So far here is my thinking: Ford will sell a long block reman engine for about $4,500, Jasper is around $6500. We are trying to keep the cost down considering the investment into a 15 year old unit. We are leaning towards Ford, but with Ford, you must return the same year/type core as the engine you purchased or forfeit the $800 core charge. In addition, if we bought a stock '99 6.8l V10 (it's a '99 frame) then the new engine should be "plug and play" (ha ha ha).
