You can double your time first off by getting the second battery and try to get by the way you are currently leaning, with the understanding that a simple set of jumper cables can connect your truck for recharging purposes, it's not ideal, but its a short term solution. Try it that way to see how well it holds up for you. Just dont kill the trailer batteries before recharging or you will damage them. With using the truck for a quick boost morning and evening, and even a small (100 watt) solar suitcase system you should be able to operate comfortably. You just will have to monitor it for the first few days to get a feel for your consumption rate.

Just saw your other post, since this is a borrowed trailer for a single trip, i still suggest the second battery, If you are going to be travelling daily when not hooked up to campground electricity you should get some recharging from the tow vehicle while towing, and you can still boost it when you stop if you will be staying somewhere for a couple of days with the jumper cables.
Check your tow vehicle to ensure the plug spot marked as 4 on your 7 pin connector is providing charge power while the engine is running.
