Great thread. Being a bit of a techie (engineer) I follow along this sort of discussion. Being on the western side of the country it is amazing all these great comments happened when I was asleep.
I can relate to the fundamental idea of being able to camp off grid for a few days without worrying about the electric (or water) usage. I have looked at solar for my TC but when you add up the cost I decided I would rather spend my money elsewhere.
So the most we have done is two nights on two 6v Interstate Golf Cart batteries from Costco. Lots of amp-hours in them!
Alas I am leaving the TC soon moving into a TT. It has about 100 watts of panels on the roof and two gel batteries. We’ll see how that goes!
