thats your power point tracking
it keeps voltage just high enough to transfer the max amount of amps into the batteries
the voltage will rise, when the amps taper,
its not constant voltage
Thats the thing.. when I took the 800 watt load off the batts from the inverter, the charge controller stayed at 13.2 volts. amps reduced to about 8 amps. Volts never climbed. I went into the settings to look around.. I didn't change much in there...
Maybe on the next test Ill put it at the default flooded setting and see if it does anything different..
In comparison my ecoworth kicked into bulk at 12.9 volts. It stayed in bulk max amps until set voltage was reached.( 14.7 my setting) Then went to absorb/float with tapered amps ( set 14.5 then when it hit 3 amps I reduced voltage to 13.2v).. That was an easy controller and simple..
Uggg .
The other thing that bugs me is the PD converter. I plugged that back in and it went right to bulk, which is good thing, but it seems to stay there 4 hours regardless. It already reached 14.4 volts in less then 2 hours so.......
Oh well.. Ill try to figure it out..
