Well, you'all have convinced me. I now know there will be a sizeable amount of Eternabonding in my not too distant future. Sounds like the way, if I plan to keep this trailer for a long time (and I do). No more dicor.
Now, where is the best place to buy the stuff? Probably be needing 2 and 4 inch rolls. Best prices, good selection, etc?
Before you go taping everything shut up there, consider the possibility of replacing roof vents, or any roof fixture (as I have done many times). Dicor self leveling sealant is a ton easier to remove than that tape is..
That tape is fine for seams or repairing permanent problems..
just my $0.02
Maybe that's a point to consider.
Anyway I am more concerned with what's going on at the roof/side junctions, and root/front and roof/rear junctions. I might as well make those permanent.
Plus, the holes through the roof (vents, etc.) are a lot easier for me to access and visualize, and I feel confident I can keep up with the caulking there. But I like the idea of the permanence of Eternabond and it might be worth it there too. If I need to replace a dome or vent with eternabond couldn't I just cut all the way through the tape and rubber and cover it with a larger strip of eternabond?
