It WAS and still IS the job of the PEOPLE of this USA to speak up about bad government and stop bad legislation........that ship has sailed because the people that DID change the laws and kept everything in check are all to old to rally anymore. :C
I feel the same way. Even 10 years ago, before the iPhone was around, and I was finishing up a degree being almost twice the age of the other students, I noticed they cared far more about the latest generation iPod, what Paris Hilton was wearing, or getting to level whatever in World of Warcraft than anything dealing with politics.

As for ethanol, from what I've seen, it drastically shortens the usable life of gasoline due to the way it attracts water. From what I've seen, bad gas is the #1 killer of generators and other small engines to the point where I've seen people buy a generator, use it for a disaster, then toss it after things are back to normal...then buy another one (leaving it in the box) for the next emergency.
