Archer Daniels Midland and Monsanto etc got their Lobbyists into high gear back when and that is the reason we have Ethanol mandated.
That it damages some engines and fuel tanks and lines, is of no consequence, to them. It is money in their pockets.

It is simply illogical, to believe the people making these policies and their elected bosses are so stupid to think it is doing anything positive for the environment.
The net loses, to the environment and the huge additional costs imposed on American Citizens is staggering. They spend millions on bs and lies to try to tell us different. Maybe there are that many people that don't examine or even think about what is happening on this and other things.
