Ethanol in small engines

There is one common thread in this and all E-10 threads. This commonality is sitting. I run E-10 in everything I own that is not diesel powered. Never a problem other than diaphragm in the 2 stroke carbs cracking every 3 to 4 years and this is pretty normal. If I have a starting problem it is because I am usually a little heavy on the oil mix but then I just have to pull the rope an extra 2 or 3 times when cold. ULSD was also going to be the death of diesel engines but I never experienced any of these problems either. My gas riding mower sits all winter (November to April or May) and always fires right up in the spring. If you are storing for any length of time make sure the tank is full. A full tank does not produce as much condensation as a 1/2 full tank.
