I'd dropped my EU2000 off at the dealer for a long overdue service the other day and we brought out the 1000 to see if it would run the 5k btu a/c in my Traverse (it did) and the 650 microwave (it did for a moment and then tripped the breaker). I used my 2000 extensively in 2007 on a long trip with the family and other than the a/c in our 5ver, it ran the microwave and wife's hair dryer just fine. I like the smaller size of the 1000 but the 2000 is far more useful for me.
