I have zillions of posts about 12v v. 6v batteries, but I don't think any of them address this particular issue.
Without hard numbers ( that I have not seen) it's difficult to know if this is hair-splitting or significant. I suspect the former. And there are many other considerations in making a choice.. which those zillion posts describe in detail.
