factory dead man cord?

seems interesting browsing inverter generators, this parallel kit does not use the banana plug, has on and off switches in the cord, but seems like there is a still a electrocution risk.

Parallel Cord

considering how many people condemn that type of cord seems interesting someone would make it.

  • Most likely was never "intended" for US and is most likely made outside of the US where it is perfectly fine to hang "on demand" electric water heaters right above your head in a bathtub/shower..

Pretty much anything can be made, imported and sold with or without UL/CSA approvals and not to mention that sometimes even if it carries a UL/CSA sticker there IS plenty of COUNTERFEITING of those stickers happening all the time..

The only thing that could perhaps "save" it is it does have several switches, plus some lights and some manual plug guards for "safety"..

But hey, those plugs are most likely a lot beefier than the light duty recessed "Banana plugs" used on those high priced name brand gens for their parallel kits..
