Fan Condenser Blade Replacement

I have a 1989 Fleetwood Terry Taurus. The AC is Emerson Quite Cool. I have no documentation on the AC. I see nothing on the ac itself as far as part no. The fan blade for the condenser needs replacing. I am pretty sure this part in now extinct. Can't seem to find online. Anything that's on there would say its not available. I would be fine with replacing with equivalent. Shaft measures 1/2" diameter. The fan diameter is 11-1/4". 6 blades. 2" Tall. Not sure if I can get away with getting just bladed and not the circular rig that goes around it? Is there a name for this type? Anyway - anyone know where I can get a replacement or equivalent?

  • No good on ebay. all ended sales.

    I found:

    just messaged them
  • I just called RV Dealership per the url you gave me Chris. Guy says they used to have it and now they are discontinued and they have no idea wher to get them. I did see some on ebay. The prices were higher....some way higher. I'll check into it. But at least I have a part number I did not have this am. So - yes - thanks.
  • I emailed the website.

you are correct...part of the shaft is still on fan. The shaft was badly pitted. Looks like an ancient artifact. I ended up sawing the bad portion of the shaft away. I want to see if i can get the fan. If so - I was going to re-add the portion of the shaft and use a sleeve to joint the 2.

That's interesting info on the type of fan.
  • Don't thank me yet- I'm not sure if that is actually available, and it looks like part of the shaft is still in that, which isn't good.

FWIW, that type of fan is called a "slinger ring", because they run the condensate out to it and the ring picks up the water and slings it a the coils.
  • I would take the part that you have to an appliance parts store and see if they can match it up with something that will work for you. I did see some fan blades like the one in the picture while searching for one. Unfortunately they were not available, but an appliance store should be able to help you. JMO
